I have discovered over the last four years that photographing newborns ranks among one of my most favorite things to do.  I have a passion for entering a family's home in the week after they've brought a new addition into their lives.  Seeing them exhausted, their house a mess and wearing a few new worry lines but so full of excitement and love for this new, tiny family member.  Dishes may be dirty in the sink and the laundry may be piling up, but the love can physically be felt when you walk through the front door.  I love spending time doting on the new apple of mom's eye and getting those sweet shots that will be treasured for years to come.  Those images that capture the squishy, sleepy newborn babe.  Their perfect toes and eyelashes.  Along with the parents as they enjoy, despite sleep deprivation, these first precious days of cuddling and figuring out their new baby.

Details:

Newborn sessions typically last 2-3 hours.  This amount of time is allotted in order to keep the stress low during our session.  There will be plenty of time for rocking and feeding and changing your babe in order to make sure you are all comfortable and stress-free.  The session will take place at your home, on your time frame.  Typically mornings are optimal because of the lighting.  I will provide an array of props for you to choose from and you are also welcome to provide any of your own (bows, hats, blankets, etc).  Newborn sessions need to take place within the first ten days of life.  At this stage, babies typically sleep very often and are still extremely squishy and able to be posed.  Within 2-3 weeks of our session you will receive your digital images in the mail.  You will have the rights to have these images printed and posted wherever you'd like.  The one request is that if you are posting them online, that you credit Jenny Conklin Photography for the image.

Investment:

Newborn sessions are $225.  This fee includes the 2-3 hour session at your home, a digital copy of high-resolution, edited images and rights to the photos.
